Hi Pete,
The underspecified #1 is that the JobReceipt targeted XxxSupplied
attributes are fine (should probably be kept for receipts), but we need
plain input elements for the mapping from a JDF job ticket to an IPP
Job.
Bending the XxxSupplied to be simple Xxx (for operation attributes)
is a broken semantic, IMHO.
At IPP WG meetings and PWG F2F meetings, we have repeatedly
confirmed this year that the IPP Implementors Guide and the JDF
mapping spec should NOT recommend or use top-level MediaType.
It can be left in the SM PJT schema (for compatibility with MS Print
Schema/XPS), but should NOT be use for mapping JDF to IPP.
Hope that helps clarify a bit.
Cheers,
- Ira
