Ira,

I am on the printing-architecture list as well, and I responded that this is fine (we already do something similar to expose IEEE-1284 key/value pairs with the "usb_" prefix), and the advertisement is only available on the host since you can't directly share a local IPP-USB printer (which only understands "localhost").
