Sorry, I won't make the call today. Out of office.
My opinion on the bakeoff... too early. Only decided last month which
notification protocols to "bless". Little time to implement. I host is
willing, suggest same location, March 2001. Doubt my opinion will be well
accepted so I'll just caution that we're heading into a bakeoff with a
huge number of combinations to test (IPPv1.1, Backward compatibility, two
notification schemes, several forms of authentication, SSL, TLS...) and I
would anticipate small "pockets" of sparse interoperability. A bakeoff is
always a good opportunity to learn and "lift" the state of interop, so I'm
not opposed (and will attend). Coordination of a BO is a massive effort
so I'm not criticizing Pete... rather I commend him for attempting to hold
our original schedule. Just think more time might be wise.
My 2 cents.

IPP Phone Conference - 000816
=============================
We will run a phone conference this week.
I had originally hoped to get somebody from the Linux
community to join in this Wednesday, but it turns out
everybody is at the Linux World conference this week.
This means that we can actually spend most of our time
on the IPP bake-off discussion which was announced earlier
by Peter Zehler.
Here is the dial-in information:
