Hi,
Our FTP server started getting overloaded with old drafts, many of them in
several formats, and at some stage we will run out of disk space if we don't
clean up our act. I have therefore started to clean out some of the old
stuff.
The first step I have taken is to clean out PDF and PS versions of documents
in the NEW_ folders that are 1998 or older. This means that if you click on
a PDF name in an older message the file will be gone.
The next step I intend to take is to move any TXT and DOC files from 1998 or
older into Historic sub folders under each of the NEW_ folders. So again,
once that is done, ALL file names older than 1999 will not show up by double
clicking on them in a message, so instead please go to the FTP server and
look in the respective Historic folders. The exception is references to
RFCs, which should be evergreen if the reference is to the main IETF FTP
server.
I expect to do a bit more clean-up in the other folders too.
A couple of other administrative changes that are also about to happen. One
is the introduction of a new DL for PWG specific work on IPP. The new DL
name will be "pwg-ipp". You will get an announcement as soon as that list is
up and working.
Gail is also working on a refreshed version of the IPP web pages, which we
intend to put in place at the same time as the new DL is in place.
Stay tuned...
