It is highly recommended that the functionality represented by the requested operation code be presented to the PWG for inclusion in an official specification before requesting the allocation of a proprietary operation code.
Send email to the IPP secretary to request one or more operation codes in the vendor space (0x4000 to 0xFFFF). The body of the email should contain the following information:
