Hello,
The latest version of the specs, dated January 6, 2003, are now on the PWG
web site.
These specifications are based on the December 19, 2002 versions (see
http://www.pwg.org/hypermail/xp/0125.html).
New for this revision:
-- Resolution of XHTML-Print issue 1,
http://www.pwg.org/hypermail/xp/0127.html, "Missing reference to ITU BT.601
"
The CSS Print Profile spec has been update to reference the new version of
XHTML-Print.
The specifications
- XHTML-Print
(http://www.pwg.org/xhtml-print/HTML-Version/XHTML-Print.html), and
- CSS Print Profile
(http://www.pwg.org/xhtml-print/HTML-Version/CSS-Print.html),
are available for review from the XHTML-Print Working Group Home page
(http://www.pwg.org/xhtml-print/wg-home.html).
Versions with changes marked, can been seen by visiting the current spec and

Issue Summary:
XHTML-Print Issues
(http://www.pwg.org/xhtml-print/HTML-Version/XHTML-Print.html):
1. Closed
2. EXIF markers and image rotation.
-- No new information since the November 5, 2002 meeting. See Action item 3
in http://www.pwg.org/xhtml-print/minutes/Minutes-November-2002.html. The
CSS working group is considering properties for specifying the orientation
of an image. There is no public working draft of this work available. The
issue is then what should the specification says in the absence of a CSS
Property?
3. Does [the] value of Content-Type of XHTML data part [assume one of the
values] application/vnd.pwg-xhtml-print+xml, application/xhtml+xml ?
-- Soliciting more information/clarification from the author of the issue.
4. XHTML-Print conforming printer should support all attributes.
-- See http://www.pwg.org/hypermail/xp/0131.html
5. Need design rationale for presentation module support.
-- Rationale will be based on "the elements of the presentation module are
simple, commonly used and valid methods to get font variations." Text of
rationale still be to written and agreed on.
6. "charset" parameter of XHTML
(http://www.pwg.org/hypermail/xp/0076.html)
-- At issue is the question of whether the description of the usage of the
optional charset parameter provide with the MIME type, should be section 3.1
"text/xml" of RFC3023 (http://www.ietf.org/rfc/rfc3023.txt) or section 3.2
"application/xml" of RFC3023.
