All:
I have fully moved the XHTML-Print specification to XHTML (and a PDF version)
from Word. This change is mandatory for an eventual W3C submission. I have
incorporated three changes to the document based on the Boston meeting:
1) Use of <object> with base64 encoding is documented as optional.
2) Use of charset as an optional MIME parameter is discussed.
3) Use of a profile with application/xhtml+xml is documented and is an optional
alternative to application/vnd.pwg-xhtml-print+xml.
Please review the document at
http://www.pwg.org/xhtml-print/HTML-Version/XHTML-Print.html and send me your
comments ASAP.
BTW: Discussion of splitting the document into an XHTML part and a CSS part is
now open.
