We have two predefined variables so far: DRV_HorPos and DRV_VertPos.
To further clarify the expected behavior, we have to specify details about the resolution the driver is supposed to feed these variables in.
We basically have two choices: virtual units or current resolution. Both have some plus and minus. I put that on vote. Default is current resolution set by raster resolution.
Another item to be resolved is the specification of the origin and therefore reference point for the positioning.
Two choices again: upper left (e.g. like Windows) or lower left (like PostScript). I put that on vote too. Default is upper left.
Whatever the decision is I think some people will need two more predefined variables: DRV_PageWidth and DRV_PageLength. The driver will have to provide these in the same units as DRV_HorPos/DRV_VertPos.
I will add them to DRV_keys.txt. Please indicate agreement.
I will close the vote on March, 7th (next Friday).
Please vote and comment. Any other requirements in this area?
Regards
Norbert
