Beth Harrison has been calling for registrations by attendees for the
assorted 1394 and related meetings to be held in Chicago, Illinois,
September 8 - 12. This calls haven't met with much success, as only 18
people have as yet registered. This is significantly below the level we
need for substantive progress to be made in the p1394b group, and does not
bode well for the other groups. Further, this is far below the contractual
obligation Molex has assumed in sponsoring this meeting. This is not good,
BUT HAVE YOU NOTICED THAT THE CUTOFF FOR REGISTRATION IS AUGUST 24? This is
very close at hand, and those planning to attend any of the Chicago meetings
need to register NOW. DO NOT PUT THIS OFF --- REGISTER NOW.
