Hi folks, Thursday (27 February 2003)
I've just sent a revised draft of 'Definitions of Managed Objects for
Service Location Protocol (SLP MIB)' to the Internet-Drafts editor and
posted a copy on the Printer Working Group (PWG) Anonymous FTP server in
the directory 'ftp://ftp.pwg.org/pub/pwg/ipp/new_SLP/' in the files:
<draft-mcdonald-svrloc-mib-04.txt> (27 February 2003) - full I-D
<draft-mcdonald-svrloc-mib-04.mib> (27 February 2003) - SMIv2 MIB
This draft is a minor rewrite to align with current MIB guidelines (see
change log below). The draft-01 defined 142 objects. This new draft
defines 10 mandatory and 6 optional objects.
This new draft of the SLP MIB is ready for SLP Project 'last call' and
submission to the IETF for the Internet 'standards track'.
Comments?
Cheers,

Abstract
This memo defines a portion of the Management Information Base (MIB)
for use with network management protocols in the Internet community.
In particular, it defines as set of managed objects that support
monitoring (but not configuration) of Service Location Protocol
Version 2 (SLPv2, RFC 2608, RFC 3111, RFC 3224) directory agents
(DAs), service agents (SAs), and user agents (UAs).
Thanks very much,
