Bill,
As usual I won't be able to call in for this one, but some feedback on the three draft charters:
MFD Alerts:
- Problem statement seems to end suddenly - seems like we should have a wrap-up paragraph that also lists the document(s) being produced.
- Line 54: "DefineNew" -> "Define new"
- Milestones: Not sure about having the initial working draft, prototyping, and WG last call all complete in Q3 2011, but otherwise the milestones look OK to me.
CMMI:
- Problem statement seems to end suddenly - seems like we should have a wrap-up paragraph that also lists the document(s) being produced.
CIM Printer Profile:
- Line 35: funny color of "interoperate correctly".
- Problem statement seems to end suddenly - seems like we should have a wrap-up paragraph that also lists the profile(s) being produced.
Thanks for writing these up!

Working Groups were envisioned as having a specific, defined and limited set of objectives, and an corresponding end date. However, with the quasi-permanent nature of the WIMS/PMP working groups, we have fallen into the mode of initiating new projects as they seem reasonable, without going through the formal PWG process of creating and having PWG-wide approval of specific charter. This may lead to projects that do not have the awareness and/or approval of the overall PWG membership.

I am creating draft project charters for review by the WIMS/PMP, with discussion intended over the mail list and at the next WIMS conference call, Thursday April 21 at 1PM EDT. The charter draft the CIM Printer Profile is at ftp://ftp.pwg.org/pub/pwg/wims/wd/wd-CIMPrinterProfile-charter-20110420.pdf.>> Please review and comment.
