Hi Pete,
I think we tentatively moved PowerGeneral group into
SystemCapabilities on Wednesday, but I think it should
be instead in SystemStatus.
Certainly the states and state transitions supported
belong in SystemCapabilities, as they are immutable
(i.e., intrinsic to the Imaging System).
But the MaxXxxRecords elements MIGHT be configurable
by an Administrator (out-of-band or by first class operation)
and so represent SystemStatus.
Also, a small but serious scope problem, to whit - in the
MIB, Power General is a set of scalar objects that apply
to the *whole* Imaging System (like in other PWG MIBs).
So MaxSupportRecords occurs only once. Whereas,
in the XML Schema, if PowerGeneral occurs in BOTH
System and Subunit objects, then the scope is each
object. I'm strongly inclined to ignore this issue and
state in the MIB that it represents the SUM of the values
in the enclosing objects (to keep the semantics aligned).
Comments?
Cheers,
- Ira
