Re: PWG> Print Number minutes
Harry,
Your Print Number Minutes mention the required
standards of print number, which lets us think on
standardizing print number.
We think that:
One standard is needed between printer and PNS
server. (1) It defines how printer gets the URLs
message from PNS server; (2) and how the printer
interprets the URL message and gets the URL of printed
document.
Another standard may be needed to define print
number used in the global, local and inside office.
PNS server may refer to the standard when it receives
print number from printers.
Another standard may be needed to define the format
(PS3/PCL/PDF) of printed documents. Printers may refer
to the standard to check and control printing the
documents.
Regards,
Su Ling
