Hello all,
The IEEE P1284.4 standard is now ready for balloting. Since we had such a
long delay from the original Ballot Body formation we are required to form
a new balloting body. This is to ensure that we have the correct and
current information and interest from everyone.
As many of you are aware, the IEEE has formed a new branch called the
Standards Activities organization, IEEE-SA. It is now a requirement that
for you to be able to vote on an IEEE standard you must be a current IEEE
and IEEE-SA member. It's fairly reasonable to become a member, about the
same as a 3 day meeting fee. To become a SA member you can go to
"http://standards.ieee.org/sa" or to "http://www.ieee.org/join.html" to
join the IEEE.
This ballot body will supercede the previous ballot body. You must respond
to this email to guarantee that you will be on the ballot body.
Please provide the following information and return to me by May 1. The
general schedule should allow us to ballot in June/July and have the BRC in
August or September.
