One of my colleagues noticed that the MimeExtensionPattern in PwgWellKnownValues.xsd has a base type of xs:NMTOKEN, but that should really be xs:string since "/" is a required part of MIME media types but not allowed by xs:NMTOKEN...
I did a little digging and found this gem from you back in 2004:

where you basically said as much and were going to change the schema accordingly for v1.01 :) The currently posted schema still has xs:NMTOKEN...
Can we get this fixed in the next update to the schema?
