Here are my comments to the System Control Service specification:
1. Abstract, Line 18:
"The PWG Semantic Model Version 2" - There is no such specification can be
referenced. How about change to: "The PWG Semantic Model Version 1 has
been evolved to extend..."
2. Line 19 - change "may perfomed by" to "may be performed by"
4. Line 20-21 - "an independent System element which resides above the
elements..." describe the System strictly in terms of XML Schema
structure. Could we have more general description in terms of modeling
the MFD System object, or combine and connect the two?
5. Line 222 - remove "and"
6. Line 225 - remove "T"
7. Line 236 - This section is about SystemDescription, text about
"SystemControlServiceDescription" should be moved to section 7.2. By the
way, the elements of the SystemDescription group are not defined in the
MFD Model and Common Semantics spec. Could we have a table of detailed
description for each element in this group?
8. Line 269 - wrong section reference.
9. Line 284 - "<service>ServiceStatus" should be "service-specific Service
Description"
10. Line 293 - text in RED should be black.
11. Table 1 Mandatory System Operations -
(1) ListServices is not defined in MFD Model and Semantics - please
provide detailed semantics for the operation and parameters, e.g.
ServiceSummary.
(2) GetSystemElement is unique for the System, not defined in the MFD
Model and Common Semantics, needs detailed semantics for the operation and
parameters such as RequestedElements and System Elements returned; Does
these include all elements in the entire MFD system?
(3) PauseAllServices, RestartAllServices, ResumeAllServices,
ShutdownAllServices, StartupAllServices, PauseAllServicesAfterCurrentJob,
SetSystemElements are all System-specific, need detailed semantic
descriptions for operation and parameters.
Regards,
-Nancy
