Pete,
Thanks for the update. I see AvailableResources moved from Server to
SystemDescription, and Subunits to SystemConfiguration. (But are there
really no Service specific AvailableResources so that that element was
removed from the general ServiceDescription group?)
But I do not see anything relative to the reflecting the expanded
PrintServiceDescription elements to either System or to specific services.
As mentioned previously, it would seem that some of these elements (such as
OperationsSupported) apply to other Services and/or the system as well as
the Print Service. Indeed, we do identify at least some of these elements in
the Scan and Resource documents, although I do not see where they appear in
the Schema.

This question also applies to whether some elements of the expanded set of
PrintServiceStatus should apply to System and or specific services.
PrinterIsAcceptingJobs
PrinterMessageDateTime
PrinterMessageTime
PrinterState
PrinterStateMessage
PrinterStateReasons
PrinterUpTime
PrintServiceCounters
QueuedJobCount
But I wonder:
1. How the PrintService specific elements PrinterState,
PrinterStateMessage, PrinterStateReasons differ from the ServiceStatus group
elements of State, StateMessage and StateReasons
2. Whether the Print Service should have both IsAcceptingJobs and
PrinterIsAcceptingJobs
3. Whether there is some overlap between the PrintService specific
"Message" related elements and the Condition Table elements.
4. Whether there is a need to have both PrinterMessageDateTime and
PrinterMessageTime
My interest is primarily in whether and where these elements should appear
in the Overall document. (i.e., under System or under System-Specific
elements). I am available tomorrow to discuss these questions of we can get
a functional quorum.
Thanks,
Bill Wagner

Subject: MFD Schema updated
All,
The schema update with most of the changes from the Face to Face has been
posted. (I did not do anything with the Copy Service yet.) The update
schema is available from the MFD page <http://www.pwg.org/mfd/index.html>.
The direct link to the zip file is
<ftp://ftp.pwg.org/pub/pwg/mfd/schemas/PWG-SM2-Latest.zip>. The new schema
has a target namespace of http://www.pwg.org/schemas/2009/8/sm and a version
number of 1.77. (I don't know if it is just me but unless I explicitly
refresh the MFD page I get an old cached version.)
Please let me know if anyone wishes to meet tomorrow via Live Meeting in the
usual MFD teleconference time slot. The next official MFD teleconference is
scheduled for July 23rd.
