[IPP] PWG 5101.1 sections 3.2 and 3.3

Hello All,

Specific questions

1.  About this statement from section 3.3: "Media Type Names MAY be locally extended using a Custom Media Type Name"

What does it mean to be "locally extended" and how is this meant to relate/differ from Vendor Media Type Names (section 3.2)?

2. My understanding is current recommendation to use smiXXX standard for custom names, but can only find Finishings 3.0 section 5.2.5 recommending use of smiXXX over reverse DNS. Is there a more "global" IPP recommendation somewhere for using smiXXX over reverse DNS than the Finishing spec?
