Apple would like to register an additional IPP 3D Printer Description attribute called "platform-shape" which describes to the Client the overall shape of the build platform. The build platform described in the PWG 5100.21-2017: IPP 3D Printing Extensions v1.0 is a rectangle and the build volume a cuboid. However, some new 3D ("delta") printers use a 3-axis extruder positioning mechanism with a fixed elliptical build platform, forming a cylindrical build volume instead.
The new "platform-shape (type2 keyword)" Printer Description attribute will be registered with two values: 'rectangle' and 'ellipse', with the default being 'rectangle' to conform to the definitions in 5100.21.
