All,
I have posted an updated prototype draft of the IPP Shared Infrastructure Extensions (IPPSIX) specification to:
http://ftp.pwg.org/pub/pwg/ipp/wd/wd-ippsix10-20140224.docxhttp://ftp.pwg.org/pub/pwg/ipp/wd/wd-ippsix10-20140224.pdfhttp://ftp.pwg.org/pub/pwg/ipp/wd/wd-ippsix10-20140224-rev.pdf
The -rev version still reflects the changes from the Feb 13th version of the document.
The only change in this draft is to add a "compression-accepted (1setOf type2 keyword)" operation attribute to the Fetch-Document request and the "compression" operation attribute to the response. This allows the Proxy to provide an ordered list of compression algorithms that it supports and allows the Infrastructure Printer to easily know whether the Proxy desires compressed document data. Previously the Infrastructure Printer would need to guess from any compression-supported attribute sent from the Proxy in an Update-Printer-Attributes request, and the Proxy would need to guess whether the data was compressed.
As always, feedback is appreciated!
