All,
During the ongoing IETF meeting in Oslo, Yaron Goland from Microsoft pointed
me to a few new I-Ds that talk about notifications using HTTP.
I have not yet had time to look carefully at them, so I am passing the
information on to the rest of the group unfiltered.
The first two drafts are brand new personal I-Ds, so we have no idea at this
stage if they are acceptable to the IETF at large.
Anyway, as we are in the process of inventing some new features, we might as
well look at what is happening around us and see if we can achieve some
common solutions to some common problems.

You should read the drafts in the order they are listed because one builds
on the other.
