Take a look at the Jini Discovery and Join Specification - Section 5.1 at
the site http://wwwwswest2.sun.com/jini/specs/
The delivery method is (not surprisingly) 'jini'. This may be a good add to
the IPP notification spec.
The Jini Distributed Event Spec and Jini Distributed Leasing Spec can also
be found on this site.

Since you've brought up Jini event notification mechanisms, what would be
the appropriate "notify-recipients" delivery method uriScheme value for Jini
notification mechanisms?
BTW, have Jini event notification mechanisms been discussed in detail
anywhere? I'm also interested in mapping this event notification model to
an IBM TSpaces delivery method (see
http://www.alphaworks.ibm.com/tech/tspaces).
