I have just download a document on XML analysis to the following URL:
ftp://ftp.pwg.org/pub/pwg/ipp/new_PRO
The documents are:
ipp-xml-980210-6.doc MS Word 6/95.
ipp-xml-980210.doc MS Word 97.
ipp-xml-980210.html. HTML version
This document is intended to be of interest for those of you who want to see
how XML would be used for encoding IPP. It works quite well.
This document is close to what Paul and I agreed to in Maui. A few changes
have been made to conform to the ideas in the document "XML Data"
(http:www.w3.org/TR/1998/NOTE-XML-data-0105).
This document contains
o the complete structure of IPP by example.
o a DTD for Get-Printer-Attributes request and response.
o a Schema for Get-Printer-Attributes request and response (as specified
in the "XML Data"). It does a better job than the DTD.
o all the examples from the IPP Protocol document plus two new ones
o appendices of other rejected encoding schemes.
