All,
I will be a little delayed in updating the IPP Test document,
IPP-Test-Plan-980216.pdf. (I would give you the full URL but I am not sure
what it is and cannot log into the PWG server at this time) The document is
in the new_TES directory. Also the Implementers-contact-list.pdf updates
will have to be uploaded later. I will be in the mountains for a week and
do not want to even see a computer or telephone.
As most of you know Xerox has released some IPP software to the PWG.
Along with the Xerox IPP Prototype Client an IPP Test Tool was also
released. The tool is driven by scripts. I have created a directory under
"new_TES" called "Test_Scripts". In that directory is another directory
called "Xerox". Any other organization that has a script driven test tool
can create a directory at the same level as the "Xerox" directory.
It would be useful to share test scripts. Anyone wishing to share the
test scripts they developed should create a directory under the "Xerox"
directory. Chose an appropriate name. Place your test scripts along with
any batch files required. Please include a readme file to describe the
test, the procedure to run it and any special conditions necessary for the
test. I hope we can use some of these scripts to automate some of the
testing at the bake-off.
I am open to any other tools, methods, ideas, suggestions or criticisms
that will help us through our first bake-off.
