Hi Joe,
You and I got an IDS action during today's IPP WG telecon to write
up an errata to HCD Health Attributes (PWG 5110.1).
Found during review of Mike's proposed new IPP firmware attributes
today.
In both the PWG Semantic Model XML Schema and the HCD TNC
Binding, the four "FirmwareXxx", "ResidentApplicationXxx", and
"ApplicationXxx" attributes are all bound into ordered sets of
4-tuples.
That is, an instance of "XxxPatches" is the list of patches for a *single"
firmware or application instance (not the patches across all operating
systems for unrelated system components or applications).
So in Section 4.1 of HCD Health Attributes, the FirmwarePatches,
ResidentApplicationPatches, and ApplicationPatches *all* have a
missing final sentence:
"This attribute may present multiple values to represent different
instances of [firmware/software] patches for different [system
components/applications]."
