But it would seem to me that it would be better to consider the different devices as corresponding to the multiple imaging functions of an MFP (printer, scanner, fax, copier, etc). Indeed that would be an interesting idea to pursue in the PWG. <p class="MsoNormal">I am wondering if any other Printer MIB implementers are now dealing with supporting multiple concurrent network connections to a printer/MFP.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">For example, how should the rows in the prtChannelTable be reported when there could be two or more IPP channels supported by the device?</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Would it be reasonable to use the hrDeviceIndex of each network interface rather than the hrDeviceIndex of the printer?</p>
